Here are some Christmas things that I created last year

I just love to create something out of nothing. For instance these wood turnings I have had for about 4 years were just waiting to come to life. I have always traditionally done things that lean toward "Country". but somehow these turned out to be a little "Retro". I had a lot of fun and sold all of them (15) some Santa's and mostly snowmen.

NOw I have to tag someone else ....

I just have to tag 6ix other people but it will take me a few minutes to figure it out. I will probably have to call Maria again. She is so great to help me.

OK so here goes...

So I guess that I have to list 6 unimportant things about myself....Hmmmmmm.....
1)I love the smell of this certain kind of tree in the spring/summer and I don't even know what it is but it reminds me so much of home in Idaho. I refuse to let anyone cut the tree down.
2)I love to help people decorate thier homes and take what they already have and create something really special.
3) I absolutely have to read something before I go to bed at night or I won't go to sleep. I preferably like to read my scriptures.
4) One of my all time favorite books is "Where the Red Fern Grows". My Fourth grade
teacher read it to everyone of her 4th grade classes and we use to lay our heads down on the desk with the lights turned off and she would read everyday after the lunch recess. We absolutely loved her and the book.
5)I chew my fingernails in action movies and rarely have a single good nail left by the end of the movie.
6) I love to write story poems about special events in my or other's lives.

Maria tagged me!
Woops! I forgot that the pics that I posted are the unfinished ones and they don't have the bling in thier leaf petals so I may have to replace those at a later time so that you can see the bling. They are so much cuter with bling... isn't everything?

Here are some of my garden signs

The signs are so much fun to make and I love to creat word pictures for the gardens

more faces...

More fun at the market

The Farmers market can be a great challenge but once we get there we always have fun! I am constantly trying to think of things to make and do for the farmers market and try to chage things up a bit. However sometimes the ol' creative mind will encounter a block. Soooo it's off to bed cause when I am sleeping that is the best way I get ideas. When I am awake my mind just cant seem to work properly. Anyway I have just created some cut birdhouses that I hope you will like. (if I can get the pics. to download. This first one is my favorite and I didn't even get it out of the van before 2 ladies wanted to buy it. I had to split them up (just kidding) and promise to make one for each so that I could at least see how the market people would respond. Well it didn't take long and about 20 min. later soneone bought it for her mother and ordered one for herself. I know that sounds kinda like bragging, but it was just exciting. When someone likes your stuff enough to pay money that is just a real adrenalin rush as well as a confidence builder. It always feels good to know that you might be creating something that will bring joy to someone's life. Anyway I need a name for her....

Model of the Year

The beautiful model below is Addison and her Very beautiful mother Maria. They were helping me out by putting on my aprons and modeling them so that I can put them up on eBay or Etsy. Anyway they look great on them. Thank you so much Addison and Maria.

"Yard Coasters"

This is the tops of the "Yard Coasters" you can't really see the leaves. They are on a dowel that you poke into the ground and then you can use them either for decoration or for actually putting you cool summer drinks on them. Another thing to do would be to put a candle on them at night, I think that would be really nice.

So finally here is a picture of myself, Sharon and Mike at the Farmers Market in Puyallup. We have a great time and are enjoying creating and comeing up with new ideas. I will show you a few close-ups of my "Yard Coasters" as Rey calls them. They sold really well. I saw something similar in a magazine but didn't like the flower shape that they used and I wanted to try something a little different for the surface.

Ok so I lied!

So here is a picture of Teasha and her two friends, Teasha my daughter is on the left and her friend Ashley is on the far right. Both of the aprons were some that I made, however after I cut the dress up that I already posted there wasn't enough fabric to make a full apron so I did this one. You can't see the beadwork that I did at the top of Teashas but it is really cute.

Trash to treasure here we go

Above is a picture of an old school dress. The fabric is just what my daughter Teasha wants as it looks kind of Meyan(sp) and she wanted me to make an apron that she can where to fesivals that she sometimes entertains and somtimes she sails her baked goods and Lemonade. So look for the finished product when I am done.

I am so excited to start my new business and so scared at the same time. I have gained a couple of partners and dear friends who are starting on this venture with me. Thank you to Sharon and Mike Fuller for inspiring me on a daily basis and for being such wonderful friends. I love you! Welcome! To anyone who likes repurposed things. I love to change old worn out or worn looking items into something new and beautiful. Thus the name Junktown Junktion. You will notice that my other blog is thekitchenkloset.blogspot.com. and that I have fallen in love with the simple and old ways of living. Anything that belongs in the kitchen has truly inspired me and brought back wonderful memories. All of us seem to be turning to the simpler way of living. So here we go again, for the second time around. Join me in an old new way of living.
